Affiliate program terms

The rules of the program, in plain language. Applying means you agree to them.

Last updated · September 4, 2026

1. Who can join

Anyone with a Devpuff account can apply. We review every application by hand and may decline one without giving a detailed reason. Being declined does not affect your learning account in any way.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must be able to receive money through PayPal.

2. What you earn

You earn 30% of every payment a referred customer makes, for 12 months starting from their first payment. That includes renewals, not only the first charge.

Commission is calculated on net revenue: the amount after any discount and before sales tax or VAT. Tax is money that goes to a tax authority rather than to Devpuff, so it is not part of what we share.

The rate and window are fixed at the moment you are approved. If we change the program later, referrals you have already made keep the terms they were earned under.

3. How referrals are counted

Your link sets a cookie that lasts 60 days. If someone clicks your link and creates a Devpuff account within that window, they are attributed to you.

  • Last click wins. If a visitor clicks another affiliate link after yours, the later one counts.
  • New accounts only. Someone who already had a Devpuff account before clicking your link is not a referral, even if they subscribe afterwards.
  • One referrer per customer, permanently. The first attribution is the only one.
  • A visitor who blocks or clears cookies may not be attributed. We cannot recover a referral that was never recorded.

4. When you get paid

A new commission is held as pending for 30 days. This covers the refund window, so a refunded payment does not have to be clawed back after you have been paid.

After that it becomes available. We create a payout once your available balance passes $25.00, and pay by PayPal. Balances below the threshold roll over.

You are responsible for adding a valid PayPal address. We cannot pay an account with no payout address or an unverified email, and we are not liable for money sent to an address you entered incorrectly.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

If a payment you earned on is refunded or charged back, the commission is reversed. If it was already paid to you, the amount is deducted from your next payout. A balance can go negative and will be carried forward.

6. What is not allowed

These end a partnership, and unpaid commissions are forfeited:

  • Referring yourself, or arranging for someone to refer you, through any account you control. We check for this automatically.
  • Bidding on Devpuff brand terms in paid search, or running ads that appear to be from Devpuff.
  • Coupon, cashback and deal sites, or posting your link where the offer is the discount rather than the product.
  • Paying people to sign up, or offering your own incentives for using your link.
  • Misrepresenting Devpuff: promising features, prices, discounts, job outcomes or guarantees we do not offer.
  • Spam: unsolicited email, mass DMs, comment spam, or posting your link where it is off-topic.
  • Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, redirects, typosquatting, or any technique that sets the cookie without a genuine click.
  • Registering domains, social handles or app names containing the word Devpuff.

7. Disclosure

You must make it clear that your link is an affiliate link. In many places this is a legal requirement, not a courtesy. A short line such as "affiliate link" near the link is enough.

8. What affiliates can see

Your dashboard shows counts, statuses and amounts. It never shows the name, email or any other identifying detail of the people you refer. They signed up to learn, not to be introduced to you, and we will not share their identity with you at any point.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account while we review suspected fraud. During a suspension the referral link stops working and pending commissions stop maturing; nothing already recorded is deleted, so a suspension can be lifted without losing history.

Either side can end the partnership at any time, for any reason, with notice by email. If you leave voluntarily or we end it without cause, you keep any balance already earned and it is paid on the next normal cycle. Balances are forfeited only where section 6 was breached.

10. Tax

You are an independent participant, not an employee, partner or agent of Devpuff. You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax on what you earn. We do not withhold tax and do not provide tax advice.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to active affiliates before they take effect. Commission rates and windows already attached to your existing referrals do not change retroactively.

12. Liability

Devpuff is not liable for lost commission caused by a visitor blocking cookies, a technical failure, a payment provider outage, or any circumstance outside our reasonable control. Our total liability under this program is limited to the commission actually owed to you.

These terms sit alongside our general Terms and Conditions, which continue to apply to your Devpuff account.
