Cookie Policy

Devpuff keeps cookies to a minimum. One is essential - it keeps you signed in. Analytics stays off unless you say yes, and a referral cookie is set only if you arrive through an affiliate link. No advertising or cross-site tracking, ever.

Cookies we use

  • Essential - session: a secure cookie set when you log in, so the app knows it's you as you move between pages. Without it, you couldn't stay signed in. This one is strictly necessary, so it doesn't need your consent.
  • Analytics - optional, off by default: if you accept, Google Analytics sets _ga cookies that tell us things like which lessons people finish and where they drop off. It never runs until you say yes - decline and the script is never even loaded.
  • Referral - only if you arrive through an affiliate link: following a link like devpuff.com/r/someone sets a dp_refcookie for 60 days, so that if you create an account we know who to credit. It holds only that person's public referral code and the time you clicked. It is not used for advertising, is never shared with anyone, and is never read across other websites. If you did not arrive through an affiliate link, it is never set.

We also use a small amount of your browser's local storage to remember lightweight preferences (like your cookie choice). That never leaves your device.

Your choice

You can change your mind at any time, and turning analytics off is exactly as easy as turning it on:

Your cookie choice

Third parties

When you make a payment, our provider Lemon Squeezy may set its own cookies on its checkout - governed by their policy. If you accept analytics, Google receives the page views described above under its own policy. We don't embed advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind, and we never sell what analytics tells us.

Managing cookies

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will sign you out and prevent login.
